Get Lectured
The School of Design (PennDesign) at the University of Pennsylvania commissioned Untuck to create an integrated promotional campaign for its fall lecture series in the midst of the 2016 presidential campaign. Paper, patriotism, and historical context became our inspiration.
During our creative process, we discovered that a single square of paper can be precisely folded down—origami-like—into a thought bubble. These thought bubbles appropriately reflect the critical dialogue that is central to the work developed across the various PennDesign disciplines—work that would be discussed at the featured events in the lecture series.
The resulting execution is an exploration of 2D and 3D colliding to create a unique experience for the viewer in the form of a self-mailer poster, an event email, and an animated GIF for social media sharing.
